Product Overview: ROYAL CANIN® Canine Hypoallergenic Dry Dog Food is a complete dietetic feed for adult dogs, precisely formulated to reduce ingredient and nutrient intolerances, often referred to as food allergies or sensitivities. It is a highly effective tool for diagnostic elimination trials and long-term management of adverse food reactions. The key to its hypoallergenic nature lies in its hydrolyzed protein source, which is broken down into very small peptides to minimize the risk of triggering an allergic response. This diet also supports skin health and a balanced digestive system. Key Indications (Recommended for cases of):- Adverse Food Reactions (AFR) with dermatologic and/or gastrointestinal signs:
- Diagnosis: food elimination trial
- Management of AFR
- Canine Atopic Dermatitis (CAD) associated with AFR or chronic pruritus (itching)
- Chronic Diarrhoea
- Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

- Hydrolyzed Protein: Contains hydrolyzed soya protein isolate (and sometimes hydrolyzed poultry liver) with a low molecular weight. This extensive hydrolysis breaks proteins down into tiny fragments, making it highly unlikely for them to be recognized by the immune system as allergens.
- Skin Barrier Support: Formulated with a complex of nutrients, including specific fatty acids (EPA/DHA, borage oil), to help support the skin’s natural protective barrier function, crucial for managing dermatological signs of AFR.
