Exclusive Kibble Design: Special Brachycephalic Jaw: Persian cats have a unique short, flat muzzle and an eating style that involves using the underside of their tongue. The “Almond 11” shaped kibble in ROYAL CANIN® Persian Adult is tailor-made with an optimal contact surface area. This almond shape makes it easier for Persian cats to pick up the kibble, encouraging thorough chewing and reducing swallowing of whole pieces.
Long Hair Health: The Persian cat’s long, dense coat is its defining feature. This formula contains an exclusive complex of nutrients, including specific amino acids, vitamins, and a rich supply of Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA & DHA) from fish oil, and Omega-6 fatty acids (including those from borage oil). Hairball Reduction: Due to their extensive grooming habits, Persian cats routinely ingest a significant amount of hair, leading to hairball formation. This diet incorporates a specific blend of dietary fibers, including psyllium rich in mucilage, which helps to naturally stimulate intestinal transit and facilitate the elimination of ingested hair, thereby helping to control hairball formation and minimize digestive discomfort.
Digestive Performance: Persian cats can have sensitive digestive systems. This formula contains highly digestible proteins (L.I.P. – Protein selected for its very high digestibility) and prebiotics (Fructo-Oligo-Saccharides – FOS).
